The Process

Cut some stuff, stitch it together. Boom! Done, right? Not quite.

Each quilt is custom planned according to the size and number of shirts along with the preferred style. Each design is stabilized with a light weight interfacing to prevent stretching. All choices have a coordinating binding. For the backing, there is a choice of a quilt quality cotton or a cozy plush. The inner batting is an 80/20 cotton, (the plush backed will not have an inner batting layer). To complete, each will be quilted on a long arm quilting machine in a free motion style.

Block Style with Sashing

This block style quilt generally consists of same sized blocks. Sashing refers to the strips of fabric sewn in between each block to separate the designs and define each block.

Pricing

Much preparation, design and skill goes into each quilt. A small throw quilt can average 15 hours of labor, on the low end of the scheme. Each order is a truly custom creation and each has a different level of design and creativity to produce a cohesive, visually appealing, personalized keepsake.

Please take a look at the style that you are interested in, in the "Shop>Deposit" section. You will find a list of sizes with their starting price. Then the number of designs you choose to incorporate are then added.

I think the "You get what you pay for" saying comes to mind when shopping for custom made items. Can I use cheaper, lower quality, supplies? Sure. Any seamstress or artist knows how much time and labor goes into every project. This assures that your unique memento will be tailored to you, high quality and have years of durability. My prices thoughtfully reflect that.
